Bard / Cleric / Monk — The Survivability Darling

The build launch-week chat kept endorsing: "massive survivability, great damage, and rocking out great haste and run speed." Five-song symphonic stack, Cleric heals, Monk avoidance. Clears everything below D4 comfortably.

Overview

The community pick of launch week — the build chat kept endorsing across streams: "massive survivability, great damage, and rocking out great haste and run speed." Compiled from that multi-source consensus rather than a single creator's runs.

The Bard five-song symphonic stack runs haste, run speed, regen, slow, and DEX at once; Cleric backstops with the best heals in the game; Monk brings avoidance, mend, and the early damage carry. Not the top of the D4 board — one of the most pleasant builds to actually play, and it clears everything below D4 comfortably.

Stances & Invocations

Stance

Evasive

95% chance to evade all incoming attacks. Every point evaded costs 2 endurance, reduced by Strategy skill. Evasion fails without endurance or while feigning death.

Ranger, Monk, Bard, Rogue, Beastlord

Balanced

All incoming damage −10%, chance to hit +10%. Endurance regen (excluding out-of-combat bonus) is doubled; the regen modifier stays active out of combat even when the stance isn't.

Warrior, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Monk, Bard, Rogue, Beastlord, Berserker

Invocation

Recovery

Mana regen doubled and spells cost 5% less mana. Out-of-combat regen unaffected; the regen modifier stays active out of combat even when the invocation isn't.

Cleric, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Druid, Bard, Shaman, Necromancer, Wizard, Magician, Enchanter, Beastlord

Divine

Spending mana heals the group member with the lowest HP percentage by that amount. Each additional wisdom class repeats the heal for 33% of the mana spent.

Cleric, Paladin, Ranger, Druid, Shaman, Beastlord

Evasive rides Monk avoidance; the Bard regen song plus Divine-fed heals cover the chip damage that gets through.

Playstyle Notes

Symphonic Aura is the build: max it early so the five-song stack survives hits, then the loop is Monk damage in Evasive with the slow melody controlling incoming and Cleric heals covering the rest. Leveling with permanent Selo's speed is the quality-of-life argument nobody undersells.

AA Priorities

  1. Symphonic Aura (4+) — First priority, tier 4 minimum — stuns break melody and melody is the loop
  2. Mastery of the Past (1) — Rank 1 before 25, rank 2 before 40 — fizzle control
  3. Mend — Monk panic
  4. Healing crits — Cleric scaling

Pros & Cons

Pros
  • Survivability plus permanent run speed — the most forgiving trio documented
  • Five-song stack means every fight starts pre-buffed
  • Comfortable through D3 without gear pressure
Cons
  • Damage ceiling — Bard is support, not a carry
  • D4 is out of reach without swapping the trio's shape
  • Melody discipline through stuns takes AA investment to smooth out
